Paintball is the fastest growing sport in Canada.

A real social phenomenon, paintball has become the sport of choice for young people looking for challenges, teamwork and adrenalin. And for company directors, paintball is an original TEAM BUILDING activity for their employees.

This sport is open to all, calling for team work, strategy and self-control. It does not require any particular physical skills or equipment.

Easy-to-use gear is provided on site to all participants with a valid photo ID. Participants under 18 must have parental consent. (Get the form).

Here are some answers to frequently asked questions

   1. What is a paintball game?

The modes of a paintball game may vary depending on the number, preferences, and type of players. A referee on each playing field ensures that the rules are respected. Game objectives and team setup depend on the choice of scenario, playing field, and the suggestions of the referee. (See different scenarios.)

For beginners and occasional players, Action 500 Paintball limits the games to 10 minutes so that eliminated players can re-enter the game quickly.

Individually or as part of a group, most participants play at least a dozen games and therefore spend a good part of the day on site.

   2. Do paintballs hurt?

It would be wrong to say that paintballs do not hurt. Indeed, depending on the distance between players, the impact of a paintball is like a pinch of varying strength.

Of course, playing in the largest indoor paintball centre in Canada is an enormous advantage since it allows for distances between participants that reduce paintball velocity. Other indoor paintball centres are so small that adversaries are often so close when they shoot that they can really hurt one another.

Moreover, our referees apply strict rules that help reduce the pain caused by paintballs:

  • All guns (markers) must be set at a safe velocity. (Our staff carefully checks them to ensure that their velocities do not exceed the limit of 280 feet/second.)
  • It is not allowed to pick up paintballs on the field
  • It is not allowed to shoot players at less than 15-20 feet without giving them a chance to surrender (freeze).
  • It is not allowed to use old paintballs. (They get too hard.)

   3. At what age can one start playing paintball?

Children under 18 can play paintball only with their parents or guardian’s consent; it is up to the parents to decide if their child is mature enough to respect the rules of Action 500 Paintball and if he or she can tolerate paintball stings. Many of our clients are under the age of 14, and it is not a problem for us to have children aged 9 or 10 on site, as long as they are mature enough to respect our rules for everyone’s safety.

   4. Do we need to bring our own equipment to play?

No, we provide you with complete equipment when you register (semi-automatic gun, 125 paintballs, mask, suit, and free CO2 tank refills).
